The longest trips Gen. Arthur J. Lichte took growing up in the Bronx were on the subway to different boroughs of New York City. He never gave it a thought that one day he would fly airplanes around the world. On Friday, Lichte retired from the Air Force as commander of Air Mobility Command, ending a 38-year career that stretched from the Cold War to irregular warfare. James Cameron' has big aspirations for "Avatar" and here at Hero Complex we're stepping with some epic coverage plans -- a 30-day countdown. Today's topic: The USC professor who found himself on an unexpected Hollywood adventure when he was hired to create the language spoken by aliens on Cameron's distant planet of Pandora. But how does W's design stack up against his predecessors?

But I'd rather think I owe it to Merriman Smith. I was in middle school when I first became fascinated with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I'd spend hours devouring books like William Manchester's The Death of a President or Jim Bishop's The Day Kennedy Was Shot the way other kids read the comics .

The wire service war of seconds had grown to minutes, and the AP was falling farther and farther behind   -William Manchester

The Air Force one albeit being pretty quiet this year has had a pretty solid offering of releases adn the new sport red & light bone color way is just as solid as anything else we have seen. The cherry flavored tumbled leather upper is accented well by the off white lining, laces and midsole. Aside from being so basic its a pretty well done and vivid color way.

President Barack Obama ended his trip to Asia on Thursday much as he'd begun it a week earlier, surrounded by U.S. forces as he sought to project an image of military unity ahead of a controversial announcement on troop levels for Afghanistan. On the way to Tokyo last week, where he began the tour, Obama stopped for a rally at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska.
